Hear from our students
For over 100 years, LCM has given University of Iowa students a place to question, grow, and belong. Support from congregations and people like you makes that possible.
"At LCM, I was immediately welcomed by a diverse group of people who would later become my closest college friends."
Amelia Johnson, Class of 2024
"I found a genuine community that walked with me as I found healing and experienced joy again."
Callie Willham, Class of 2025

Students are in the LCM space every day of the week to study, visit with friends, and EAT! Every food donation helps get students through the long weeks.
Donations of snacks or easy meals can be coordinated by emailing office@lcmatui.org.
Student favorites: granola bars, individually packaged snacks (fruit snacks, goldfish, etc.) juice boxes, microwave popcorn, easymac cups, or anything else that is easy to grab on the go!

On the first three Thursdays of each month, dinner is provided by our partner congregations: Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (Iowa City), Zion Lutheran Church (Iowa City), and First Lutheran Church (Cedar Rapids). We’re so grateful for them!
The fourth Thursday is open to anyone who’d like to provide a meal, or part of one, for our students.
